Every day, millions of people from all directions find their way onto the autobahns and their oases. Rest stops, “Raststätten” in German, represent islands in the sea of highways. They are parallel worlds, stops along the way, and places of longing. Our book captures moments of encounter and rests in a journalistic manner. A moment picked out of constant motion.
